““Alone, I am the last drop of a lost sea that ca not be found.

There is no water or fish, no winds, no dips, no ships, no monsters: everything here suffers the echo of abandonment...”

The project was born as a reading of the myths and natural elements of the Strait of Messina.

It is conceived as a visionary provocation, as a presage slowly overwhelmed by the outcome of unhealthy human actions in a hypothetical future relationship with the contradiction of progress.

The universe of Cariddi is understood as an imaginative evocation and the gestural memory of everything that the sea can preserve within it: from the beings who inhabit it to its natural, incontinable and poetic being, with its fragrances, its history.

It deals with a landscape of fragmented soul and lost values, space and time swallowed in a sick, drained, crumbling and fervid bitterness.

This fragile protest for a lush tomorrow emerges into nothingness: it is in the construction of the absence, in this chromatic and narrative absence, that the performance hollows into balance between reality and utopia, memory and overwhelm.

Un culto straziante e dolente che volge l’animo alla gioia quando si leverà il giorno in cui dovremo viaggiare verso quella terra che ama il silenzio, sospesi e avvinghiati da ali.

Mentre il cielo si muove e l’aria che tutto abbraccia si abbandona alla forma continuamente mutevole della vita.

Seguendo il concetto del “disvelare”, in un perpetuo gioco reciproco, la performance ci invita a entrare in un mondo manifesto, atavico e attuale al tempo stesso.

Attraverso il flusso della danza, nell’uso del gesto, nell’essenza del corpo, vengono evocati gli oggetti, gli alberi, le colline, i fiumi, il mare, come pure gli altri esseri umani ed anche noi stessi, i nostri corpi, le nostre reazioni emotive.

Si tratta di suggestioni che evidenziano ciò che costituisce la forma del mondo, non quella vera, quella reale che tutti noi crediamo di vedere ma il flusso del cambiamento.

Iside, madre di tutte le cose, rivelatrice della forza di una donna che ama e del potere della sofferenza che tutto trasforma, ci permette di veicolare, toccare e vedere, nel mito, le cose come esse sono e come sono state sempre:

trasmettendoci anche il fascino intrinseco della continua metamorfosi prodotta dal trascorrere del tempo.

Archetipo per eccellenza dell'anima compagna, Iside ricompone i pezzi di un amore incontrollato.
